Downtown Development to Bring Over 100 New Daycare Spaces to Vegreville

Vegreville, AB (November 5, 2024) – The Town of Vegreville has finalized the sale of commercially zoned land at 4846 50 Avenue to Edmonton-based developer Build Bright Homes.

The planned development will feature three separate commercial buildings, including a retail space (yet to be leased), a drive-through franchise restaurant, and a daycare spanning over 7,000 square feet. This daycare will provide more than 100 additional childcare spaces for Vegreville, addressing a critical need in the community.

“I’m incredibly excited to see this new development come to fruition. Finding a solution to Vegreville’s daycare space shortage has been a priority for Council and administration over the past several months. This development will not only help address the shortage but will also be a beautiful and key addition to our downtown core. On behalf of Council, I’d like to thank Mr. Sharma and his entire team for their critical investment in our community.”

The Town’s efficient permitting process, along with the ability to directly reach key personnel – including Mayor MacPhee – made investing in Vegreville a pleasure.”
